Best Free QR Menus for Restaurants, bars and Hotels 2020

Best Free QR Menus for Restaurants, bars and Hotels 2020

Hotels, restaurants, and bars are uncertain as to what their post-pandemic industry will look like. Many are trying hard to find safe and creative solutions that will help host industries to recover more quickly. And in order to minimize physical contact, a digitalized menu supported by QR codes is a strategic solution that has been successful for active prevention.

A good QR menu provides attractive pictures, detailed descriptions, and covers both in and out of restaurant ordering and payment. Your restaurant and staff will operate with peak efficiency, minimize miscommunications and wait times, and have access to immediate translations to spare you hiring interpreters.

Their sample QR menu wasn’t working, but it lists solid features for customer ordering and customizable controls. Customers can schedule a precise pickup window or reserve ahead and be greeted with their food at their table.

Pros:

  • Customizable
  • Ordering and reservations

Cons:
  • Price - Could be very expensive for a restaurant with an unlimited use for 129 USD per month
  • System seems unstable

A web based digital menu which doesn't require to download any app for the business or customers. Launched in 2018 we sense a true thinking behind each feature to be simple to use.

Pros:

  • Easy to use
  • Unlimited use
Cons:

  • Payment feature not yet live ( August 2020)

Quick Orders provide options for restaurants, hotels, and even large venues such as swimming pools and stadiums. However, their website and menu app are a bit clunky and I couldn’t get their 25+ languages to work.

Pros:
  • Multiple venues

Cons:
  • Buggy

The Winner!

We checked the customer and the business sides for each and we all agreed the most complete and simple solution to use is MasterTAAG. Not only they offer a real digital menu easy to consult for the customers but the restaurants have access to a simple admin page to update it, add pictures, etc from a mobile phone or a PC. www.mastertaag.com

Paris Hilton partying in London.... alone...

Paris Hilton partying in London.... alone...

She's enjoyed a string of nights out on the town with a host of well-heeled pals since touching down in London recently.
And Paris Hilton looked set to keep that precedent going as she was seen leaving the English capital's May Fair hotel for yet another nocturnal adventure.
The 36-year-old former reality TV star stepped out in fine style for her excursion, rocking a flattering black mini-dress with white accents along the collar and placket.

After letting her hair down with celebrity pal Sofia Richie , the American socialite was in rather less familiar company as she climbed into the rear of a waiting cab.

Chiltern Firehouse London

The Chiltern Firehouse has become London’s hottest celebrity hangout

Chiltern Firehouse, a former fire station in Marylebone. The restaurant is the latest offering from hotel magnate AndrĂ© Balazs, who owns the glamorous Chateau Marmont in Hollywood and the Mercer hotel in the Big Apple.

Originally one of London’s first purpose-built fire stations, the Grade II listed gothic Victorian building has been transformed by Balazs into a swanky New York-style brasserie with high ceilings, hanging light fittings, large mirrors and a busy open kitchen. Guests are greeted by attractive top-hatted doormen and escorted through a pretty garden courtyard to their tables.

Who might I spot?
Lily Allen, Kate Moss, Simon Cowell, Linsday Lohan, David Beckham, Bill Clinton, Bradley Cooper, Tony Blair and Orlando Bloom have all been glimpsed sneaking out of the back door.
What do the critics say?
“The place is hotter than the surface of the Sun. I reckon even God would have to wait for a table.” Tom Parker Bowles, The Daily Mail.
"I left Chiltern Firehouse in such a giddy manner that I demolished a pair of Lucy Choi high heels and had to be carried to my car holding them in pieces. The man with the top hat was very sympathetic." Grace Dent, Evening Standard.
"Nuno Mendes is a genius: forget everything else." Zoe Williams, Telegraph.
"It's hard to see exactly what distinguishes Chiltern Firehouse from any other upmarket restaurant in London, other than the raging fury of its own myth. But, then again - maybe that's all it takes." Polly Vernon, The Times.

Unapologetic bitch album review - Madonna

Madonna's albums are  a bit like Apple's iPhones, we expect every time the next big thing and we end up with the same product and some tiny upgrades. Who cares both have almost a religious adhesion to their beloved brand.

Madonna has managed to stay on the game for 30 years and despite younger competitions she is still the Queen and like the iPhone, you can find copies but an iPhone will always be the Original version.

Unapologetic bitch album has the current beats from various trendy pop artists and we can feel those  inputs to make it so 2015 with the use of the guitar in many tracks.

Her previous album, MDNA, had a more dance floor spirit so I wonder how the clubs will welcome this one.

 Track reviews:

Addicted: there is a 007 sound track feeling and then the beat starts, can do better - 2/5

Bitch I'm Madonna: here a track with remixes from current pop trends - 3/5

Borrowed time: a mix of Ibiza style beats and café del mar, not sure about its efficiency - 2/5

Heartbreak city: a slow song with nice piano background - 2,5/3

Illuminati: you cannot listen to it and not think about the the duet from Will Iam and Britney spears. Not innovative for sure but a nice track - 3/5

Joan of Arc: guitar again, ok song, a bit boring tbh... - 1,5/5

Living for Love: good track with a good rhythm - 3,5/5

Make the Devil pray: guitar ballade with a country style music 3/5

Messiah: lovely ballade song 3/5

Unapologetic Bitch: Great beat - 3,5/5

Revolution: more Guitar in a gypsy king style song - 3/5

Wash all over me: a pure Madonna track - 4/5

Finally to finish my review, like Iphone, it s sold out after a couple of days worldwide. Well done the Queen.

Fluttr – Never miss a great night out again

Fluttr App

Fluttr is an event discovery tool where people exchange recommendations for the best nights out. It takes the form of an online network reserved for those who live for great music and awesome parties.

I bet you’re all familiar with this “Damn, missed out again” sort of feeling when looking at your friends’ party pictures on your social networks. Well, I’ve found a solution for that not to happen to me again. The new invitation-only party network called Fluttr is all about making you discover the best parties… before they actually happen.

3 guys from the nightlife scene are behind this genius idea. They’ve built the first event discovery platform where you receive recommendations from your friends, DJs, event organisers and nightclubs you’ve decided to follow. The concept is great as it allows you to be constantly updated with not-to-be-missed upcoming parties that fit with your own tastes.

We’ve asked James Kay - founder and CEO - how they came up with this idea,
“We’ve been producing music events for years in NYC, London and Paris. One thing that struck us up anytime we asked our customers how they heard about our event the answer was: my friend told me about it. We never quite figured out who was this person everyone was talking about, but realised that friend recommendations are the most natural way to discover good parties. This is why we created Fluttr, we wanted to facilitate this communication”.

James Kay – founder and CEO – told me, “When we released the first version of Fluttr, it was pretty clear that this was simply something for our friends to test. We ended up with thousands of new users in a few days. The plan was clearly not to get that many people on it that quickly (laughs). We still don’t understand how the word has been spread so quickly across London, but we are super happy as it helped us a lot to move fast and adapt to people’s feedback properly.”

The platform will officially be launched in a few days but more than 10 000 people already signed up for it, by either requesting their invite on the website (www.gofluttr.com) or by using their testing app. You will have to be invited by someone who is already using it to be able to sign up. “We only want people who are truly passionate by music and awesome nights out to join us. This is why we think that giving our current users the ability to invite their friends is the best way to grow our community while keeping the quality of the recommendations being exchanged  between our members”, says James.
